Thank you to everyone who attended the 4th Annual West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h™ and all the volunteers who helped to make it a huge success! Be sure to mark your calendar for next year's Cache Ba$h, August 10th to 12th, 2012!
The 4th Annual West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h™ brought together hundreds of geocachers from all over the country for a weekend of fun. Attendees included 1,300 geocachers from the 604 teams who competed, as well as geocachers who came for the festivities, door prizes and great geocaching amid West Bend's many natural areas, trails and historic sites.
The 2011 event was covered by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in their entertainment blog, in their travel section, and in their outdoor section.
West Bend Daily News covered the Cache Ba$h with articles pre-eventand post event as well as a great photo of participants.
In addition to online coverage on wi-geocaching.com, the event was covered by onlinegeocacher.com and Chicagogeocacher.com.

The 66 new permanent caches that were launched for the event will remain permanent caches, bringing West Bend's cache count to 800 caches within a 10-mile radius. This abundance of caches and the unique mix of urban and rural caches has given West Bend the welcome reputation as the "Geocaching Capital of the Midwest™."
